Offering a fine PRESERVED example of a Wrenn W2261/5P Royal Scot Class Locomotive in LMS Black named “Black Watch” running number 6102. Initially advertised by Wrenn during what was commonly referred to as period three. The Black Watch was made in three examples and started production in 1981 and continued well into 1992. The 5P version was made for one year only 1986/7 and reported to be no more than 61 made. Without exception getting harder if not virtually impossible to find!
The locomotive is complete in every respect and includes its original Wrenn box, original packaging, also included Wrenn manual and usual holding rings and tissue!
The Royal Scot was part of the London Midland & Scottish Railway Company (LMS) Royal Scot Class is a class is a 4-6-0 express passenger locomotive introduced in 1927. Originally having parallel boilers, all members were later rebuilt with tapered type 2A boilers, and were in effect two classes.
NOTE: OUTER ID HAS BEEN STAMPED W2261 & 5P HANDWRITTEN. PROBABLY A SPECIAL ORDER AS APPOSED TO A STANDARD W2261/5P FACTORY EXAMPLE!
