Offering what can only be described as a collectors display model. The SE & CR version was produced 1988-92 known as Period Four . The SE & CR Green locomotive model reference W2201 with running number 69 was limited to only 241 examples.
Such was the popularity of this fine loco that they are seldom seen for resale. This is one of the finest boxed examples I have seen for many years, probably seldom used.
The locomotive is in original condition, complete in every respect and includes, original Wrenn Basildon Yellow Guard box lid, packaging, manual and usual holding rings and tissue!
South Eastern Railway (SER) had possessed very few locomotives designed for shunting. So in 1887 it was decided to introduce a class of 0-6-0T locomotives specifically for shunting and for hauling local goods trains.
New R Class engines were designed by James Stirling. 25 were built at Ashford Works between 1888 and 1898.
Note: engine remains test run only, a lubrication and or basic service advisable if to be permanently run.
