A fine LIMITED EDITION 4-6-2 Duchess Class Locomotive. This example is the “Princess Alice” running number 6223 in LMS Maroon Livery! The locomotive was introduced by Wrenn between 1986-87 only, as one of their exclusive series, model reference W2401.

This locomotive was bought by us directly from Wrenn and is one of our display models having been periodically test run from new! Date stamp P3 61249

This example is one of only 345 ever made and was produced with a MK2 Chassis and three pole motor. The locomotive is complete in every respect and includes original box, packaging, track and plaque. Also numbered certificate instruction manual and usual holding rings and tissue!

Duchess locomotive used by London Midland & Scottish Railways was a class of express passenger steam locomotives designed by William Stanier. The locomotive got its name as a result of being a non-streamlined,although to engine-men they were often known as Big Lizzies.
