Offering for sale a brand new boxed example of a Hornby Model Railways “Pullman” 3rd Class Parlour Car no.34, model reference number R4479.
This model was introduced by Hornby as part of their latest SUPER detailed series with fully functional table lamps when the locomotive is in full motion. The PULLMAN passenger coach is finished in brown with a contrasting grey roof and cream/yellow side panels. The decals are finished with yellow lettering and transfers.
The interior has white tables which were a renowned alternative colour combination.
The item is complete with original box, inner sleeve and packaging in unused shelf condition. The most famous of all the car manufacturers was Pullman, which began as the Pullman Palace Car Company founded by George Pullman in 1867. The Pullman Palace Car Company manufactured railroad cars in the mid-to-late 19th century through the early decades of the 20th century during the boom of railroads. Pullman developed the sleeping car which carried his name into the 1980s.
