Wrenn B.S.A 11T Gunpowder Van running no. B887002 Model reference W5009

Offering for sale a superb example of a B.S.A 11T Gunpowder Van running no. B887002. This 11T 4 Wheeled Gunpowder Van, Wrenn model reference number W5009 was introduced by Wrenn in 1971 and production continued for a short period until 1975.

There were two different colour variations made. This example of the B.S.A wagon is finished in Brown a grey contrasting roof, red piped yellow lettering and logo, running numbers in white. The item was produced in late PERIOD TWO 1970.

Offered complete with original box, inner yellow sleeve and packaging. Despite their name, the gunpowder van with a cone top was a ventilated van variant. The difference was its construction which was made from steel to withstand possible explosions and damage to its contents. The gunpowder van was produced at Swindon Works in the UK with a wheel base of 9′ 0″. These wagons were constructed mainly during the early 1930’s.
