Offering a VERY RARE Wrenn W2260 5 POLE Royal Scot Class Locomotive in LMS Maroon named “Royal Scot” running number 6100. Although the standard version was produced throughout 1981-92, the five pole model was made in limited numbers totaling 80 between 1986-88.
This example was issued by Wrenn as a standard model, The box ends have correct labels and not stamped 5 pole. In all my years of collecting until now I have never seen this variant of a Wrenn Royal Scot!
The locomotive is complete in every respect and includes its original box, original packaging, also included Wrenn manual and usual holding rings and tissue! Underneath clearly stamped Packer number three date stamp P3/71145 confirming build date November 1987.
The Royal Scot was part of the London Midland & Scottish Railway Company (LMS) Royal Scot Class is a class is a 4-6-0 express passenger locomotive introduced in 1927. Originally having parallel boilers, all members were later rebuilt with tapered type 2A boilers, and were in effect two classes.
