A fully serviced P4 collectors example of a Wrenn W2238 Khaki Rebuilt Bulleid 4-6-2 Pacific named Clan Line in BR Green, running number 35028.
This version of the Clan Line is a very unusual and rare find indeed. Standard models were introduced by Wrenn Basildon in 1977, Etched plates in 1988 with production continued until 1992.
The locomotive is complete in every respect, includes original P4 Wrenn box, packaging, manual, usual holding rings and tissue! The underneath indistinctively stamped by the manufacturers in red.
Due to problems with some of the more novel features of Bulleid’s design, all members of the class were rebuilt by British Railways during the late 1950s. The class members were named after the Merchant Navy shipping lines involved in the Battle of the Atlantic. The Merchant Navy class operated until the end of Southern steam in July 1967.
