Offering our own 00 gauge ex-demonstration model Class 158 DMU especially developed by Bachmann Branch-line as part of their DCC series. This engine has been factory DCC Sound fitted and run in for immediate use. The locomotive includes, unopened accessory pack and paperwork.
The British Rail Class 158 Express Sprinter is a type of diesel multiple unit (DMU) passenger train introduced on the UK rail network between 1989 and 1992. Instead of relying on a separate locomotive, these trains have their engines mounted directly underneath the passenger carriages.
This allows the train to operate flexibly as 2-car or indeed 3-car sets. The engines power the axles via a hydraulic transmission system.
