Offering a brand new ex-shop stock Class 158 DMU especially developed by Bachmann Branch-line as part of their DCC series. This engine is DCC ready and the locomotive includes, accessory pack and paperwork.
The British Rail Class 158 Express Sprinter is a type of diesel multiple unit (DMU) passenger train introduced on the UK rail network between 1989 and 1992. Instead of relying on a separate locomotive, these trains have their engines mounted directly underneath the passenger carriages.
This allows the train to operate flexibly as 2-car or indeed 3-car sets. The engines power the axles via a hydraulic transmission system.
