Offering a fine PRESERVED example of a Wrenn W2262/5P Royal Scot Class Locomotive in BR Green named "Grenadier Guardsman" running number 46110. Initially advertised by Wrenn during what was commonly referred to as PERIOD THREE.

This example started production in 1986 (PERIOD FOUR) and continued for one year. During its production only 86 were reported to have been made. This is probably why so few become available for sale and without exception getting harder to find!

The locomotive is complete in every respect and includes its original box, original packaging, also included Wrenn manual and usual holding rings and tissue! The box underneath is clearly stamped in BLACK with packer number 3 and production date 06623. Confirming a build date June 1986.

Royal Scot Class is a class of 4-6-0 express passenger locomotive introduced in 1927 by the London Midland & Scottish Railway companies (L.M.S). Until the mid-1920's, the LMS had followed the Midland Railway's small engine policy, which meant that it had no locomotives of sufficient power for its expresses on the West Coast Main Line. Originally having parallel boilers, all members were later rebuilt with tapered type 2A boilers, and were in effect two classes.
