Offering for sale a superb example of a Wrenn “Pullman” LMS, number 3459 2nd Class red passenger coach, model reference number W6010.
This model was introduced by Wrenn in 1978 and production continued for a period of six years until 1984. The exact number made are unknown as these were produced as limited edition coaches which did not sell!. As a result they were re-boxed and sold as “NON LIMITED EDITIONS” possibly made from unfinished bodies at end of the production.
The LMS PULLMAN passenger coach is finished in red with white tables and running number 3459. The item is complete with an original wrenn labelled end box of the period, inner yellow sleeve and packaging.The most famous of all the car manufacturers was Pullman, which began as the Pullman Palace Car Company founded by George Pullman in 1867. The Pullman Palace Car Company manufactured railroad cars in the mid-to-late 19th century through the early decades of the 20th century during the boom of railroads. Pullman developed the sleeping car which carried his name into the 1980s.
