Offering a faultless and much desired 4-6-2 Streamlined Bulleid Pacific, Sir Winston Churchill. This range of locomotive models were introduced in 1982 (P4). A later version with alternative lining followed in 1990- until the closure of the factory in 1992!
This engine is one of the first ever produced and came with a factory fitted 5 pole armature. Its condition is such, appears at best only ever test run.
The locomotive is complete in every respect. It includes its original box, instruction manual and usual holding rings and tissue! The inner box is stamped in red with production code.
The SR West Country and Battle of Britain classes, collectively known as Light Pacific’s or informally as Spam Cans, are air-smoothed 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotives designed for the Southern Railway by its Chief Mechanical Engineer Oliver Bulleid.
