An exceptional condition a much desired 4-6-2 Streamlined Bulleid Pacific Sir Winston Churchill Locomotive. This range of locomotive models were introduced in 1982 (P4). A later version with alternative lining followed in 1990- until the closure of the factory in 1992! This earlier locomotive model reference W2265 is second to none in condition and appears at best test run only!.
The locomotive is complete in every respect. It includes the original box with stamped ends and is again in superb condition. Also included is the instruction manual and usual holding rings and tissue! The inner box is stamped in black with production code Packer no.1 date stamp 00240.
The SR West Country and Battle of Britain classes, collectively known as Light Pacific’s or informally as Spam Cans, are air-smoothed 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotives designed for the Southern Railway by its Chief Mechanical Engineer Oliver Bulleid.
