Offering a fine example of a Wrenn W22403 Royal Scot Class Locomotive in L.M.S LINED Black named “THE RIFLE BRIGADE” running number 6146. This model was produced as a Limited Edition only.
Many of the Royal Scott locomotives produced by Wrenn were made in limited numbers. This one is no exception with only 243 examples know to have been made. This locomotive was made between 1987/1990.
Their rarity is increasing daily as their overall condition to include the boxes are becoming harder find. This locomotive is serviced and complete in every respect. It includes the original box with the underneath stamped in BLACK denoting packer number 3 and date code 71250. Also included is the Wrenn manual and usual holding rings and tissue!
The London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) the Royal Scot Class is a class of 4-6-0 express passenger locomotive introduced in 1927. Originally having parallel boilers, all members were later rebuilt with tapered type 2A boilers, and were in effect two classes.
Peter Rayner –
I am glad I waited until the right one came along.
I am very, very pleased with the condition of this model. I am glad I waited until the right one came along. This has now gone to the top of the favorites in my collection (even above the WAR Department Grey 8F)!
Thanks and regards,
Stuart Murphy –
The loco is pristine and I am delighted with it!
The loco is pristine and I am delighted with it! This is the fourth loco I have bought from Connoisseur Wrenn. All have been excellent, though this one may be the best!
Many thanks for all your efforts in this matter, particularly the extremely efficient dispatch!
