Nothing short of an exceptional STUNNING example of the LMS Coronation Class named “Coronation” locomotive! This Streamlined example in Blue with running number 6220 has been displayed for many years hence its condition. The colours have remained vibrant and the linage intact, the best I have seen!

This locomotive was introduced by Wrenn for a short period between 1986-1987 model reference W2301/a. This particular example is one of only 80 reported to having been made. The locomotive is complete in every respect, includes its original box and packaging. Also included is the Wrenn manual and additional serviced sheet applicable to the streamline, finally usual holding rings and tissue! The underneath is clearly stamped packer no.3 – 61250 confirming build date December 1986

The London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Coronation Class is a class of express passenger steam locomotives designed by William Stanier. They were an enlarged version of the LMS Princess Royal Class. Several examples were originally built as streamlined, though this was later removed. They were the most powerful passenger steam locomotives ever to be built for the British railway network, estimated at 3300 horsepower and making them far more powerful than the diesel engines that replaced them.
