Nothing but a STUNNING example of the BR RED livery Duchess Class with alternative etched name plates “Leeds City & King George VI” locomotive! This locomotive was introduced by Wrenn for a short period between 1991-1992 model reference W2304.

This particular example with running number 46244 is of only 166 reported to having been made during the production run of TWELVE MONTHS The locomotive is complete in every respect and includes its original box, original packaging. Also included original Wrenn manual and usual holding rings and tissue!

We are of the opinion that this example was only ever been test run when bought and displayed since new showing NO wear to either components or decals! The box lid and inner box are consistent with a build / production date underneath date stamped P2/911145.

The Duchess locomotive used by London Midland & Scottish Railways was a class of express passenger steam locomotives designed by William Stanier. The Duchess class got its name as a result of being a non-streamlined, although to engine-men they were often known as Big Lizzies.

TO RETAIN ITS VALUE AS A COLLECTORS PIECE, WE BELIEVE PARAMOUNT, THE ENGINE IS OFFERED AS FOUND!
