Offering a late P4 Wrenn engine. This model reference W2224A is of the Standard 8F Class locomotive in BR Black, running number 48290, one of only 450 reported to have been made.

This locomotive model is one of the few which span all four periods of production Wrenn Railways undertook at Basildon Essex. This example was in production from 1983-1992. Alternative examples and a LIMITED EDITION were made during the other periods.

As all model railway enthusiast know, this is the “WORKHORSE” for freight operations on any layout. Hence why they are very seldom found NOT play worn and even rarer boxed.

The locomotive is complete with original inner box date stamped P3 /03511 (production March 1985) with Wrenn Cheshunt P6 lid, usual holding rings, tissue and manual.
