A fine collectors example of a Wrenn W2212AM2 “Sir Nigel Gresley” A4 4-6-2 Pacific Locomotive in LNER Garter Blue, running number 4498. This example comes direct to market from our own personal collection. This version of the Sir Nigel Gresley was made with a MK2 Chassis and 5 Pole motor. This model was introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1987 and production continued until 1990. During this period, only 170 were produced.
This Basildon built locomotive is becoming very harder to find, particular in such great quality.The locomotive has been serviced and is complete in every respect. Complete with P6 lid, original inner box, packaging, manual, usual holding rings and tissue! The underneath is clearly stamped in black packer no.2 production code 90313. The date of manufacture March 1990.
The LNER’s Express Pacific designs were probably the most famous of the LNER locomotives. Of these Pacific’s, the A4 is probably the most famous of all: Its distinctive streamlined shape has come to be a symbol of 1930s luxury and speed. Even today, it is an A4 which holds the world speed record for any steam locomotive in the world.

I could not fault the locomotive.
A few months ago I ordered an identical model from this seller. It arrived in super fast time in a bespoke box which I have kept. I could not fault the locomotive. I have run it and now is stands pride of place in my cabinet.
I have been keeping an eye on what this retailer has to sell good to see they have finally got another one. I am sure it won’t be for sale for long an AM2 is hard to find!
