A fine collectors example of a Wrenn W2212AM2 Sir Nigel Gresley A4 Locomotive in LNER Garter Blue, running number 4498. This Sir Nigel Gresley version was made with a MK2 Chassis and five pole motor. The model was introduced by Wrenn in 1987, with production ceasing 1990, during which only 170 were produced.
This Basildon built locomotive is becoming very harder to find, particular in such great quality.The locomotive has been serviced and is complete in every respect, including original box, packaging, manual, usual holding rings and tissue! The underneath is clearly stamped in black P2/08833, denoting build date August 1988.
The LNER’s Express Pacific designs were probably the most famous of the LNER locomotives. Of these Pacific’s, the A4 is probably the most famous of all: Its distinctive streamlined shape has come to be a symbol of 1930s luxury and speed. Even today, it is an A4 which holds the world speed record for any steam locomotive in the world.

A few months ago I ordered an identical model from this seller. It arrived in super fast time in a bespoke box which I have kept. I could not fault the locomotive. I have run it and now is stands pride of place in my cabinet.
I have been keeping an eye on what this retailer has to sell good to see they have finally got another one. I am sure it won’t be for sale for long an AM2 is hard to find!
