A fantastic AS NEW example Wrenn, model reference W2212 “Sir Nigel Gresley” A4 Class Pacific Locomotive.

This L.N.E.R Garter Blue model is the greater produced example by Wrenn with running number 7. This locomotive was made with a MK1 chassis and has always been a favourite amongst collectors and layouts across the country. This locomotive was introduced in 1970 Period One, with production finishing in 1992 Period Four.

The exact numbers made overall are reported to be 6834. This P3 example which is in great condition, has probably only ever been perodically run from new. Complete in every respect, includes original box, packaging, manual and usual holding rings and tissue.

The LNER’s Express Pacific designs were probably the most famous of the LNER locomotives. Of these Pacific’s, the A4 is probably the most famous of all: Its distinctive streamlined shape has come to be a symbol of 1930s luxury and speed. Even today, it is an A4 which holds the world speed record for any steam locomotive in the world.
