Offering our own as new 00 gauge ex-shop demonstration model developed by Bachmann Model Railways as part of their DCC ready series. This Class 57/3 West Coast Railway Company, model 32-765 has been dcc fitted decoder no. 5713.
The Class The Class 57 is a mixed traffic diesel electric locomotive. It has a maximum speed of 95mph and produces 2,500hp from its 12-cylinder diesel engine. The engine was remanufactured from Class 47’s by Brush Traction of Loughborough between 1998 and 2004.
There are three variants of the Class 57, to include one designed for freight traffic (57/0). Another to conduct rescue duties as well as to drag electric trains along routes that lacked overhead wires (57/03).
Note: this engine is part of a range of unblemished locomotives on offer, having been DCC fitted and run in.
