Pleased to offer a superb early example of an A4 Class Pacific locomotive named “Gannet” in NE wartime Black, running number 4900. In our opinion rarer than it’s Peregrine” counterpart.

This version was introduced in early Period Four, circa 1980 and discontinued in 1989. This Wrenn model number W2213A is becoming harder to find in such collectors condition. The locomotive is complete in every respect. Its condition is second to none and includes original box and packaging. Also included is the instruction manual and usual holding rings and tissue!

The LNER’s Express Pacific designs were probably the most famous of the LNER locomotives. Of these Pacific’s, the A4 is probably the most famous of all: Its distinctive streamlined shape has come to be a symbol of 1930s luxury and speed. Even today, it is an A4 which holds the world speed record for any steam locomotive in the world.
