Wrenn W5036 Hopper Wagon “Hoveringham 230” Red/Brown Rolling Stock

Offering for sale a superb example of a Wrenn “Hoveringham” 4 Wheeled Hopper Wagon model reference number W5036. This model was introduced by Wrenn in 1983 and production continued until 1986. There were two types produced with and without numbers.The NEW owners of Wrenn have also produced a model between 2002/08

This hopper wagon is finished in red/brown with white logo, running number is 230, complete with original box, inner yellow sleeve and packaging. A hopper car is a type of railroad freight car used to transport loose bulk commodities such as coal, ore, grain and track ballast.

Two main types of hopper car exist: covered hopper cars, which are equipped with a roof, and open hopper cars, which do not have a roof. This type of car is distinguished from a gondola car in that it has opening doors on the underside or on the sides to discharge its cargo.
