A fine AS NEW example of this much sort after 4-6-2 Streamlined Bulleid Pacific Locomotive named “City of Wells” in BR Green livery running number 34092. This superb example of the City of Wells commenced production in 1985 and continued until the factory closure in 1992.

A number of variations were produced to include a “Khaki” and kit model, others with different lining. This is an early example one of only 798 ever made. What makes this locomotive special is the condition which is hard to find due to the limited production run by Wrenn. We would deem this locomotive to be a VERY RARE find! This example remains TEST RUN only.

Note: the underneath is clearly stamped in BLACK PACKER NUMBER 2 91 28. This confirms a production date of February 1991 shortly before the closure of the Basildon factory!

The SR West Country and Battle of Britain classes, collectively known as Light Pacific’s or informally as Spam Cans, are air-smoothed 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotives designed for the Southern Railway by its Chief Mechanical Engineer Oliver Bulleid.
