A RARE and seldom found example of this much sort after 4-6-2 Streamlined Bulleid Pacific Locomotive named “EXETER”. This version in SR Green livery with running number 21C101 was produced for THREE YEARS. Production commenced in 1986 and continued until mid 1989. During this period only 185 were reported to have been made!!

The locomotive remains in original near mint condition. At worst has been test run and displayed from new. Complete in every respect and includes original Wrenn Cheshunt P6 box, packaging, manual and usual holding rings and tissue.

The SR West Country and Battle of Britain classes, collectively known as Light Pacific’s or informally as Spam Cans, are air-smoothed 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotives designed for the Southern Railway by its Chief Mechanical Engineer Oliver Bulleid. They were amongst the first British designs to use welding in the construction process, and steel fireboxes. This meant that components could be more easily constructed under wartime austerity and post-war economy!

NOTE: WE HAVE SERVICED THE LOCOMOTIVE WHICH REMAINS IN ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION SHOULD ANYONE WISH TO RUN INSTEAD OF DISPLAYING
