LOCOMOTIVE AS NEW – BOX PACKAGING EXCELLENT / NEAR MINT

Out of stock

A fine example of this much sort after 4-6-2 Streamlined Bulleid Pacific Locomotive named “Wadebridge” in SR green livery running number 21C107. The production of this engine commenced in 1991 and continued until the factory’s closure in 1992.  Overall there were only 93 made.

What makes this locomotive special is the condition and originality which is very hard to find due to the limited production run by Wrenn.

The locomotive has been fully serviced and comes in its original condition which is stamped at both ends, complete in every respect and includes original box, packaging, manual and usual holding rings and tissue! The underneath is clearly stamped Packer no.2 / 91026. Confirming a production date of February 1991

The SR West Country and Battle of Britain classes, collectively known as Light Pacific’s or informally as Spam Cans, are air-smoothed 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotives designed for the Southern Railway by its Chief Mechanical Engineer Oliver Bulleid. They were among the first British designs to use welding in the construction process, and steel fireboxes. This meant that components could be more easily constructed under wartime austerity and post-war economy!
