Offering a perfect near mint example of a Wrenn W2298 Royal Scot Class Locomotive in BR Green named “Royal Scot” running number 46100. The Royal Scot model was initially advertised by Wrenn during what was commonly referred to as PERIOD THREE!
This example started production from 1989 and continued well into 1992. The exact numbers made is unknown. But without exception is extremely hard to find and more so in such great order! We have been fortunate enough to acquire this model form a private collection which has been on display since new!
The locomotive is complete in every respect and is faultless. The locomotive is being offered with a later replacement box produced after the closure of Basildon and packaging. Also included is an authentic Wrenn manual and usual holding rings and tissue! The underneath of the inner box is clearly stamped in black packer number 2, date code 90416.The locomotive has been fully serviced and is ready to run! Alternative put back where we found it on display and pride of place!
The Royal Scot was part of the London Midland & Scottish Railway Company (LMS) Royal Scot Class is a class is a 4-6-0 express passenger locomotive introduced in 1927. Originally having parallel boilers, all members were later rebuilt with tapered type 2A boilers, and were in effect two classes.
