Hornby Railways BR Fowler 4-4-0 Class 2P locomotive 40626 model R3460TTS

A BRAND NEW un-opened 00 gauge BR Fowler 4-4-0 Class 2P locomotive 40626 developed by “Hornby Model Railways” as part of their DIGITAL SOUND series. This Fowler Class 2P with early crest and running number 40626 is comes complete with all paperwork accessories and packaging!

The London Midland and Scottish Railway Class 2P 4-4-0 was a class of steam locomotive designed for light passenger work. Sir Henry Fowler’s LMS 2P locomotives were based on the older Midland Railway 483 design. The 483 was first introduced during the last years of the Nineteenth Century.  The LMS Fowler 2P locomotives, were introduced in 1928 and was intended for Express Passenger duties and numbered 136 in the Class.

The 2P locomotives were to be found operating on the Midland area as well as Scotland, with some others being found on the LNWR system.
