Hornby Model Railways “Silver Link” A4 Pacific Class LIVE STEAM Locomotive R2367

A brand new 00 gauge example especially developed by “Hornby Model Railways” as part of their MARGATE WORKS “LIVE STEAM” series. This locomotive is produced in L.N.E.R silver livery is named Silver Link with running number 2509.

This locomotive is packaged and stored from new all accessories are still sealed! This item has been precision engineered with a special plastic body for steam powered use. Made in limited numbers the Silver link along with its sister engines are becoming harder to source!

The A4 Pacific was designed for high-speed passenger services. The application of internal streamlining to the steam circuit, higher boiler pressure and the extension of the firebox to form a combustion chamber all contributed to a more efficient locomotive than the A3. This class was also noted for its streamlined design, which not only improved its aerodynamics, thus increasing its speed capabilities further.
