A parcels van is commonly refereed to as a General Utility Van (GUV) type of rail vehicle built by British Rail and its predecessors. As the name suggests, was primarily used for transporting mail and parcels. They were used by both Express Parcels Systems, the British Post Office and Rail-track. National Rail and some train operating companies still use them today.

There have been many variations of parcel vans that have been built in Britain and subsequently handed down to BR. This includes the LMS 50 ft parcel vans the standard period 3 LMS 50′ full brake design. Most were built at Wolverton Buckinghamshire in the late 1930s and virtually all had been scrapped by 1968.
