Offering a fine EX-SHOP DISPLAY 00 gauge example locomotive especially developed by “Hornby Model Railways” as part of their latest DCC READY series. This Southern railways 4-4-0 Class T9 running no. 729 is being offered in a traditional olive green livery model reference model R2711.

This model is complete in every respect which includes factory packaging, instructions, service sheet, and outer sleeve picture card! Please note this item has been tested and probably periodically run over time having been in a retailers display. All said the model remains in fresh condition!

The London and South Western Railway T9 class was a class of 66 4-4-0 steam locomotive designed for express passenger work by Dugald Drummond and introduced to services on the LSWR in 1899. One example has been preserved after British Railways ownership.

Intended for express passenger work in South-West England, 66 were eventually built and saw several improvements throughout their service careers. The class operated until 1963 when the last example,No 30120, was withdrawn.
